Make a difference in your community with a career  in Marriage and Family Therapy

The Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at University of the Pacific prepares students for careers in mental health by providing a foundation in family systems and human development. The program is grounded in experiential learning and helps students become thoughtful, self-reflective practitioners, researchers and leaders. The program emphasizes competence in serving a culturally diverse society and teaching students how to think critically and strategically.

Students who complete this program will earn a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and are eligible to pursue licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Students who become Marriage and Family Therapists promote positive change for families, individuals and groups by offering treatment and counseling to those with mental health and substance abuse issues.
